connie noyes

Working in multiple formats and media, Connie Noyes, creates seductive art from utilitarian and discarded materials. The detritus she collects is the skeleton of her work and calls into question the status quo of beauty, worthiness and usability. The surfaces—luscious and rich with texture—are coated in resin capturing the energy and experimentation that is an ever-present part of the production process. Regardless of the form, the work reveals a deep vulnerability; layers of everyday life that are deeply rooted in emotion, thought, and soulfulness.

Do you have any old lipsticks?

image

I am an artist in Chicago in need of 1000’s of used lipsticks for a project i am working on.

The lipsticks can be any shade, used slightly or used up. I am only interested in lipstick. If you have a drawer full of the more classic type of lipstick (as in photo) and you need to clean out your collection or if there are only a couple you were thinking of throwing out, please donate them to me instead. I will happily receive any and all donations. Please feel free to share this post with friends near and far!!! If you have a good story to go with any of the donations, please share this too.!!

You can send lipsticks and stories(optional) to
